Insurance

The scope of insurance coverage included in the bicycle rental fee is as follows. Please note that if any other costs arise, the customer will be responsible for them.

What is covered by the accident insurance?

Death/permanent disability: 10 million yen

Hospitalization insurance daily amount: 5,000 yen

Daily outpatient insurance fee: 3,000 yen

The basic compensation consists of the following. The main cases in which insurance claims will and will not be paid are as follows:

■ Death Benefit

If you die within 180 days after the accident, including the day of the accident, we will pay the full amount of the death and residual disability benefit. However, if you have already paid residual disability benefits, we will pay the remaining amount after deducting the amount already paid from the insured amount.

■ Permanent disability insurance

If a disability as specified in the policy occurs within 180 days from the date of the accident, including the day of the accident, we will pay 100% to 4% of the death/disability insurance amount depending on the severity of the disability. However, the total amount will be limited to the death/disability insurance amount over the insurance period.

■Hospitalization insurance

If you are hospitalized within 180 days from the date of the accident, including that day, we will pay a daily hospitalization benefit for each day of hospitalization. However, the maximum period per accident is 180 days. In addition, we will not pay insurance benefits for hospitalization on or after the day after the expiration of the 180-day payment period from the date of the accident, including that day.

■ Surgery insurance

If you undergo surgery as specified in the policy within 180 days after the date of the accident, including that day, we will pay the following amount for each surgery.

① Surgery received during hospitalization: Daily hospitalization benefit amount x 10

② Surgery other than ① above Daily hospitalization insurance amount × 5

■ Medical Outpatient BenefitsIf you visit a hospital (including house calls, home visits, and online medical care) as specified in the policy within 180 days from the day of the accident, including that day, we will pay the daily medical outpatient benefit for each day of hospital visit. However, this is limited to 90 days per accident. In addition, we will not pay benefits for hospital visits after the day after the 180-day payment period from the day of the accident, including that day, has expired.

Damage covered by liability insurance

This insurance will pay claims for the following damages incurred by the insured:
■Legal damages

Compensation for damages that the insured is responsible to pay to the victim when legal liability for damages arises. *The consent of the underwriting insurance company is required before the payment is made to the victim.
■ Litigation costs

Attorney's fees, litigation expenses, etc. incurred by the insured with the consent of the underwriting insurance company in litigation or settlement negotiations regarding liability for damages (including not only litigation but also mediation, settlement, etc.)
■ Emergency measures costs

In the event that an accident occurs and the insured takes necessary measures to prevent and mitigate damage, and it is determined that he or she is not liable for compensation after doing so, the expenses incurred for emergency measures such as first aid and escort, or other expenses incurred with the consent of the underwriting insurance company. ■ Damage prevention and mitigation expenses

In the event of an accident, necessary and beneficial expenses incurred with the consent of the underwriting insurance company in order to preserve or exercise the insured's right to receive compensation for damages from others, or to prevent the occurrence or spread of damages related to an accident that has already occurred. ■ Cooperation expenses

Expenses incurred by the insured to cooperate with the underwriting insurance company in settling a claim for damages on behalf of the insured at the request of the underwriting insurance company
